Does Gosford have the goods?

I recently went to Gosford to visit my nan and aunty that live there. My Aunt likes to take us to hidden gems on the Central Coast and she didn't disappoint on this occasion.

We arrived at East Gosford Regional Gallery for a wonderful afternoon. We had lunch at the gallery restaurant, 'The Points'. We were seated by a lovely young woman who was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger ($23.50). It wasn't for another 30 minutes that we received our meals. However, it was worth the wait. My burger was enormous and came with a generous serve of crispy, hot chips and fresh salad. The burger itself had a juicy beef patty, chutney, sweet beetroot, melted swiss cheese and crispy onion rings. My burger was hard to handle due to its size, as every good burger should be. The chips were delicious and cooked perfectly. When I finally go around to the salad, I found it was well dressed and tasty. My family were all happy with their own meals and I attached photo's of their meals as well.

Afterwards, we took a stroll through the gallery which is free. There were three separate exhibitions. I very much enjoyed the 'Colours of Country', exhibition. It was some of the most beautiful Indigenous artwork I've seen personally. There was a variety of artists from all over Australia and most were up for sale. The 'Sean Lonergan Schools Project' exhibition was brilliant. The work from various students was beautiful and a true testament to the ever-changing diversity of Australia. My least favourite exhibition was that by Patrick Carroll, an established artist. It is the type of art that anyone could create. A used football, a hunk of metal and wires and other everyday items mounted and sold off for recidivous prices.

Following the gallery, we took a stroll through the Japanese Gardens. It was lovely to see young kids feeding the fish in the Koi pond and to see families enjoying their Sunday afternoon in a different landscape. The garden has different sections for you to enjoy. The traditional 'shuyu' (strolling) garden incoprates a Japanese pavilion, a Koi pond, traditional tea house and stone garden.

Food & Drink

My burger was delicious and tasty. My only complaint would be that the serving was very big and I couldn't eat everything.
